Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Syno Labs LLC, doing business as Syno Studios ("we", "us", or "our"), handles information in connection with the synostudios.com website (the "Site") and our mobile applications, including Run Wars and Caddy Go (together, the "Apps"). We build our products to collect the minimum information they need to work, and we never sell your personal data.
Information we collect
Website
The Site is informational. It does not use advertising trackers and does not require an account. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and requested pages) for security and reliability purposes.
Account information
If an App offers accounts, we collect the information you provide when creating one, such as a display name and email address, and use it to operate your account, sync your data, and respond to support requests.
Activity, workout, and motion data (Run Wars)
Run Wars records your runs — including route, distance, pace, and duration — to power gameplay features like territory, leaderboards, and streaks. If you choose to connect Apple Health (HealthKit), we read and write only the workout data you authorize. HealthKit data is used solely to provide app functionality, is never used for advertising or marketing, and is never shared with third parties except as you direct or as required to provide the feature you requested, consistent with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.
Location data (Run Wars and Caddy Go)
Both Apps use precise location with your permission: Run Wars to record routes and map territory, and Caddy Go to calculate GPS distances on the course and track your round. Location is collected only while the App is in use (or during an active recorded workout or round, where you have enabled that mode), and you can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings. Run Wars includes controls to hide sensitive places from anything visible to other players.
Device and diagnostics data
We may collect limited device information (such as device model, OS version, and app version) and crash or performance diagnostics to keep the Apps stable. Where analytics are used, they are configured for product improvement, not advertising.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Site and the Apps.
- To operate gameplay and social features you choose to use (for example, leaderboards and territory in Run Wars).
- To respond to support requests and communicate about your account.
- To protect the security and integrity of our services and to comply with legal obligations.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only with service providers that help us run our products (such as cloud hosting), under contracts that limit their use of your data; when you choose to share it (for example, appearing on a leaderboard under your display name); or when required by law.
Data retention and deletion
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing support@synostudios.com with the subject "Data deletion request". Where an App offers in-app account deletion, that works too.
Children's privacy
Our Apps are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@synostudios.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our products evolve. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date, and for material changes we will provide additional notice in the affected App.
